Our knowledge of coffee has grown out of our deep relationship with the coffee producers of Rwanda.
Our Rwanda Trading Company operation puts us at the intersection of Rwandan producers and the world’s growing demand for Rwandan coffee.
One of our greatest passions is working with Rwandan producers to improve the way they operate their business, resulting in an increase in the standard of living for both them and their families. The first step towards accomplishing this goal is to build trust.
We have found a strong correlation between trust and the ability to source great coffee, not only in Rwanda, but throughout the world’s coffee growing regions.
Growers
We have built relationships with coffee producers to provide these tangible benefits to their businesses:
- Provide direct financing throughout the harvest season with interest rates 50% below available bank rates
- Purchase full range of production
- Finance capital improvements for washing stations
The result of these relationships has reduced financing risks for the producers, increased their overall profitability and improved their ability to efficiently process cherries at their washing stations.
Ultimately, this has fostered trust. Trust in fair business practices, trust in quality coffee production, and trust in a great product for our customers.
