Wet-milling is the process of separating the cherry from the coffee bean and cleaning it. Proper wet-milling ensures that natural flavors are retained so the coffee can attain true specialty grade. However, with outdated tools and practices, farmers can’t ensure this level of quality, and that affects their bottom line. So we take a holistic approach to partnership with farmers, and provide special financing, market risk management, quality control, financial management, and all the training that supports those activities.
 
These efforts allow supported cooperatives and privately owned wet-mills to increase the revenue for farmers, thereby earning more profits for themselves.
