Rwanda – the small country in the heart of East Africa known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills” – boasts the ideal soil, elevation and climate for growing some of the world’s finest coffee. Rwanda Trading Company works directly with Rwanda’s coffee producers to procure, process and market these coveted coffees throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.

Our newest processing center, Tembo Coffee Company, is located in the lush Southern Highlands of Mbeya, Tanzania. Curiously, even though this area produces over half of Tanzania’s Arabica coffee, investors consistently overlook it. But not Westrock. We’ve invested in a green grading facility to improve and classify the coffee before it’s exported. We’re also working closely with fertilizer companies to provide agronomy training and fertilizer to our farmer groups. Our sustainable, responsible business model gives farmers and our mill’s workforce opportunities they wouldn’t have otherwise.

Our 15 full time employees are paid a premium over the local labor market, and we also provide:
